Their mission is to bring hope to families and children facing crises through the IMPACT Power with Purpose Initiative; this initiative consists of two integral components, with each one supporting the other.

Their primary focus is to connect buyers with the most suitable solutions that yield optimal results. Batteries serve as the core of our system, supplying the essential energy required to sustain projects, modes of transportation, or recreational activities. Mastering this balance enables their team to fully implement Part 2 of the Power with Purpose Continuum. They acknowledge the existence of a world plagued by suffering individuals and fractured families, and that’s why they are committed to making a positive change.

As part of the IMPACT Power with Purpose initiative, their team collaborate with organizations like the Orphan Care Alliance (OCA), which equips and educates foster parents to offer effective support and care for at-risk children and families. Their customer’s purchase contributes to this initiative, allowing children to experience safety and discover hope.

Client’s Needs:

Impact Battery team has asked Rock Technolabs developers to oversee various aspects of their website’s development and maintenance, which later on not only includes website development tasks but also staying vigilant about security patches’ timely installation and configuration to ensure a robust defence against potential vulnerabilities, and other types of cyber attacks.

In addition to these crucial elements, their team were also eager to take control of the checkout process, which required the installation of the Dominate checkout module to customize and add advanced features to the checkout process. They wanted to entirely revamp the site with blog integration modules and some advance functionalities (out of the stock, amazon payment, reporting through Google Tag Manager and Analytics, product preview, and many more).

In addition to the above, they also demanded to integrate search battery part functionality to offer a more accessible experience for their customers; plus, they wanted to showcase extended warranties for some of their products and different types of security patch installation to restrict unauthorized access.

Challenges:

While working on the Impact Battery Project, our Magento developers faced multiple issues, including some of the most complex problems that even took 4-5 days to resolve completely. However, in the end, the results were worth it, and clients valued our hardwood for their site.

Some issues were related to the optimization of Javascript and CSS as the website was taking too much time, so we had to remove some unnecessary codes and merge Javascript and CSS into a single file so it removes line breaks and extra spaces in the code and creates continuous lines of text so it didn’t reduce the speed.

Still, the speed was not good because there were many products and categories indexed on the site; when a product reindexes in stocks, the speed slows down, so for this reason, we used the flat table catalogue product option.

The next problem was with the contact form, as the Impact Battery team was not receiving mail from the contact form whenever a user-submitted details. For this, we changed the mail ID as well as made multiple changes in settings; however, the issue was resolved after adding some codes. We also faced some challenges while creating 301 redirects as the URL wasn’t working, for which our developers Enabled Webserver Rewrites from store settings.

One more problem was related to the Magezon page builder, as it was showing some incompatibilities with the Hyva theme as some components of it weren’t compatible with the Hyva, and after many changes and processes, we decided to go with a different extension.

Solutions:

For Impact Battery, we took on the task of creating a robust and feature-rich platform for which our expert Magento development team executed a comprehensive set of processes to achieve the desired goal. We implemented a reliable Deployer setup for both the staging and live versions of the website, as it ensures seamless deployment and management of code changes.

Within Deployer, we incorporated the ‘keep_releases’ feature to automatically remove old releases while retaining releases as per the client’s specific requirements, thus maintaining a clean and efficient codebase. Next, we installed the ‘Dominate Checkout’ module and made necessary customizations to align the checkout process for a better customer experience.

In addition to this, we added custom fields to the website’s contact form and applied validation rules to ensure accurate data collection of buyers. Also, installed and configured the ‘Extend Warranty’ module to allow customers to extend their product warranties conveniently. There was one more crucial feature, which was the Amazon payment button we added to facilitate secure and convenient payment options for customers.

We added an ‘Out of Stock’ functionality to inform customers about product unavailability and availability. Our team conducted comprehensive speed optimization, including enabling varnish cache & Magento cache management, optimizing images, and clearing database logs to enhance website performance, ensuring faster loading times and a smoother user experience.
We integrated the ‘Magefan_Blog’ module, allowing the client to publish engaging and informative content to drive traffic and engagement, plus attached ‘Magezon Page Builder’ to provide the client with the flexibility to create and customize content-rich pages effortlessly, including Amazon Payment for a secure and widely recognized payment option.

We integrated Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to provide the client with valuable insights into user behaviour and website performance, plus to get other necessary data related to conversion tracking, site analytics, remarketing on different channels, and more.

Besides this, we connect the ‘Amasty Product Feed’ module for ready-to-use templates and utilization of other features like condition-based attributes, scheduling for automated feed generation, and tracking to analyze sales efficiency for with Google analytics, which helps in increasing visibility and sales.

Furthermore, we integrated a Content Security Policy (CSP) whitelist for protecting the site against potential security threats and connected the ‘Amasty Preorder’ module, enabling customers to place orders for products that are not yet in stock. Also, incorporated the ‘Amasty Finder’ functionality, helping customers quickly locate specific products based on their requirements.

Final Result:

Through our diligent efforts and commitment, the Impact Battery team has appreciated our work, acknowledging that we successfully delivered what the client asked for. This achievement was made possible by installing different modules, implementing additional features for inventory management & seamless checkout process, integrating page builder, and optimizing the site for one step ahead performance.

Consequently, the Impact Battery team experienced an impressive 72% increase in conversions, achieved greater visibility on Google, and attracted a remarkable 92% surge in website traffic. It is evident that the user experience has dramatically improved, thanks to the increased site traffic.
